Steve has been working in restaurants off and on since he was 15 (a wicked long time ago!). He holds an MBA from Northeastern University and a BA from Harvard University’s Extension School. He once wore real funky glasses with lots of bling. Marie, a native of Prague, Czech Republic, holds a BSN from the University of Massachusetts. She is currently working as a Clinical research nurse at MGH. She has a background in the arts and art history, and has many many many years experience in the food service industry. In her abundant spare time she enjoys reading, the Red Sox, traveling and Rambunctious Rumbles with Jack (see below). |

Jack
"Fenway" Feldmann Mascot and all-around cute puppy www.facebook.com/jack.fenway pups@GuluGuluCafe.com Jack is a Boston terrier. He is a HUGE Red Sox fan and was born during the pivotal ALDS Series against the Yankees. He enjoys his ball, other dogs, licking, and cuddling. Occasionally he barks like a duck. It's very strange. |

![]() Charles Maxwell FeldmannAssistant Mascot Charlie is a pure blooded pug and proud of it! His interests include chewing on grass, furniture, Jack’s toys, and Steve's fingers. He also enjoys chasing Jack around the house and waking Steve & Marie up in the middle of the night. He snores. A lot.

Laura began at the Gulu as a waitress in graduate school recovering from her 10 years working in publishing. She immediately became at home and then the Gulu took over. Her daughter is very forgiving -- you can spot her around the cafe from time to time. Make sure to say hi when you see her! She'd love to hear what you think. |

I have a need for constant laughter & possess a ridiculous sense of humor...seriously, what you hear is often not what you would expect. Crayola, nature, family & friends are my passions. I have an wide open mind, love thunderstorms, & really, really, really like flip-flops. Knowing that my gypsy days were numbered, I made Salem my home with my family, and hope to stay here for a long while; or, at least until the I hear back from Santa about becoming a proper Christmas elf. |

Judi Muscara-Orfanos is a long time “draw-er” of pictures, wife of a painter and mother of a child named after a well known planet. In her spare time she collects vast quantities of multicolored, bubble wands... just because. |

When Allison grows up she’d like to have a little house on the prairie but for now spends time trying to catch the wind in trees and on bicycles. Allison also realizes that tickets for time-travel are still rather expensive so she’s spending some time to give her life the same effect. You’ll find her growing vegetables, catching babies, and wearing long skirts and straw hats. Allison LOVES TO READ and sometimes finds it more enjoyable to ask people what they’re reading to see the look on peoples’ faces. |

Manda lives in Salem. Currently attending Salem State College, she is a science geek. She loves going to shows and adding new CD's to her collection. Her favorite color is green and she has a passionate hatred for cheese. She may not smile, but that is usually because she is thinking about what to do next. Mornings are not a favorite, but she takes what is dealt to her. Her dry humor is her favorite personal quality. Sarcasm: Not to be taken personally, is a daily quest to discover the humor in everyone. |

Caitlyn is cooler than the other side of a pillow and at times is referred to as "the drunk Sheryl Crow." She is working at the Gulu to save money towards her dream in life: to own a puppy petting zoo, where she will own every type of dog and let them run free on her multi-acred farm.

The mysterious and random "B.S.D." as we call him started hanging out at the Gulu when they opened in Salem. He is a longtime friend of the Cafe' who just recently joined the team as a employee. He loves all the AWESOME people who work here, and when he's not here working or sitting in a Bar Stool, he loves making signs, painting, and being creative at a local sign shop. He also loves goofing around with his girlfriend and family, bike riding, art expierments, and restoring or chopping up old cars. Lives the phrase " Big Mess = Big Success"..... |

Danny grew up in Lynn, MA to great acclaim. He defeated the giants there and took a really long shower. Legend has it, after shedding his skin in Amherst, he endorsed bad art and squishy tofu to fund a secret plan to conquer the espresso machine. He plots somewhere in Marblehead. |

A refugee from the desolate landscape of upstate NY, Jess has been kicking butt at Gulu since 2009. In addition to her awesome job she is also an evening student at Salem State, where she majors in history with a minor in political science. Jess is a big nerd who loves Dr. Who and can speak about it at great length. Yes, that is her pink scooter outside! She's super friendly, so please say hi! |

Joey, a filthy skate rat and degenerate party animal, was born in Marblehead under the harvest moon. His continued passion in the culinary arts and music fills his mind, where images of savory cheeses and heavy bass have permanent residence, along with all things good n' weird. He's a nocturnal explorer, a seasoned veteran of the strange, and a happy camper behind the counter at the Gulu. Talk to him about his sweet yellow moped, or drum n bass music, both will make his day. |

I wake up, I go for a run, I make awesome food, I go home and make art, run a bit more, then do it all over again. |

My name is Kristy Jane Harris. I recently moved here from San Diego. My favorite animal is the Mermicorn. It is a very neat hybrid of half unicorn half mermaid. I think it came from Scotland. If I had one, it would make for a very nice commute to school at Salem State, where I major in looking at neat pictures, and then I would ride it to work at the Gulu. I would also ride it to the mental institution I volunteer at. My favorite man there is a tall, lanky black fellow named Ally May, he has one eye, and has been pregnant for thirty-seven years. I’d also ride my mythical beast to watch my favorite band, N.I.T.E. (Nuclear Intimidation Terror Enforcers) from Lynn. They are DynOmite! Outta Sight! They’re Hip! Maybe after their show I’d take my mermiCOOL creature for a visit to Caliphornia, (the patients at the institution informed me, this is the proper spelling) but I’m pretty sure that it sunk into the ocean after I left! I really like to meet new people and make new friends, I have all five seasons of In Living Color,… so I feel like I have a lot to offer! Come visit me any time! |

Lilly enjoys long walks on the beach, sunsets, and picnic lunches. Wait, no.... Lil just enjoys burlap farms, yoga, and fingerpainting. Lillyanne is not nicknamed 'tiger' for nothin (actually it's simply a witty commentary on her clumsiness). "Lil Y" is a political junkie with a problem and will always be down to discuss current events or the Dark Tower series, which forever ruined fiction for her since it is so freaking awesome. She has many nicknames and has lived many lives, maybe seven just this year. |

Sam’s highest aspiration is to be super woman. If she isn’t keeping busy then she feels as if the day is wasted. She embraces challenges, animals of all shape (with the exception of the hissing, stinging ants of South America but do ants really count anyways?), books, and outdoor adventures in the woods. |
