DJ Seth - www.upsidemedia.com
Indie / 80's Pop and Alternative
Friday February 17, 8PM
Seth began DJ'ing in the early 90's on college radio. These days, he finds it novel that he can see his listeners, as they are in the same room with him. Yet sometimes he wishes he could unsee things. He'll expertly program music to accompany people who are trying to look like they're doing something important on their laptops. And, he'll even reserve some choice twee cuts for the notebook doodlers. As the evening evolves, he'll have people wriggling out of their shells to spazz out to the new-wave-synth-pop-punk-indie-garage-type stylings that are all the rage! |

Model Citizens - facebook
Rock
Thursday February 23, 8PM
Model Citizen's cosmos aligned in 2007 when Paula Pearce (Lead Vox, Guitars) and Matt Doyle (Vox, Guitar) met while trying to form a Johnny Cash and Neil Diamond cover band; Johnny Diamond, naturally. Tommy Walsh (Vox, Djembe) has been creating music with Matt since 2000, and resurfaced to fill out our much needed 3rd member to play drums in our Rock Band. Many other members have come and gone over the years and the band hails from 3 unique areas of the world: Cardiff Wales, Needham MA, and Lowell MA. And they all have their own signature shadow puppet. A terrible/great way to kill 30 minutes in any given band practice. |

Big Blue Octopus - http://www.bbomusic.com
Rock / Psychedelic / Freestyle
Saturday February 25, 8PM
Did you know that only 1% of the "deep ocean" has been explored by man? We know as much about the ocean as we do about space, time, and the Large Hadron Collider. This leaves many questions unanswered; hence the motivation behind the Big Blue Octopus. All of their music stems from the deep places of the ocean (such as the serenely venereal Mariana's Trench), and contain interesting entities such as purple crocodile turtles, singing umbrella sandwiches, pincher-toads, collossal squid-manatees, and, of course, the illusive big blue octopus. They greatly appreciate your interest and hope you have a good day. |
